Discover Valencia in three days. Cheer up!

Museums, architecture, beaches … The city of Valencia has hundreds of attractions and it never disappoints. But how long do we need to see it? Can you get to know the city in a short getaway? Stay with us, we have designed a short itinerary to enjoy the best of Valencia in three days.

The capital of the Valencian Community stands out for its beautiful beaches and good weather. But there is much more, and in this trip we will know its essence. From the tranquility of its beaches to the beauty of the old town.

A short but very intense getaway. During these days we can visit the famous Silk Exchange, the historic center and its rich artistic heritage and, of course, the Oceanographic and the Museum of Arts and Sciences. Are you ready? Let’s go there!

Valencia in three days: the historic center of the city

We are going to dedicate the first day to getting to know the great historic center of Valencia. We are going to get lost in its streets and visit its most representative monuments and buildings, which are not few.

We start at the famous Lonja de la Seda. In it we will admire the Gothic architecture, the Patio de los Naranjos and the beautiful and emblematic tower. By the way, you have to look at the gargoyles, a repertoire of the most curious characters.

We are not going very far. One step away is the Central Market, full of stalls with fresh products. But if it stands out for something, it is for its beautiful modernist architecture. And you have to walk around, real gems await us.

Walking quietly we will arrive at the Plaza de la Virgen and the cathedral complex . The one in Valencia is a different cathedral, but beautiful. A mixture of styles ranging from Romanesque to Baroque.

And we will still have much to see: the Redonda square, the Tribunal de las Aguas, the church of San Nicolás de Bari, the Serranos tower … The center of Valencia is full of monuments worth a visit. That is why we will make the most of the first day in the city.

Second day: the City of Arts and Sciences

We cannot visit Valencia and not tour this fabulous complex. Here the Oceanogràfic, the Science Museum and the Hemisféric await us. We recommend taking out a joint ticket for the three spaces and thus enjoy a complete experience.

The Oceanogràfic

The second best aquarium in the world and the best in Europe. It is home to hundreds of species, distributed according to their habitats. Cold oceans, tropical waters, an aviary … Thanks to this project, we will be able to enjoy a great diversity of animals living together in community.

We will find penguins, seals, sharks and even belugas. Dare to go through the longest underwater tunnel in Europe, it will leave you with your mouth open and the children love it!

The Museum of Arts and Sciences

This interactive museum will teach us the secrets of science through fun. Exhibitions, workshops, games … These activities will bring us closer to science and new knowledge in a fun and entertaining way.

The Hemispheric

This large building has a large dome in which projections are made. We can choose the theme of the projection, including that it is in 3D. It is a great way to discover great adventures through spectacular images. A good way to end this second day of the visit to Valencia in three days.

Third day: the marina and Malvarrosa beach

After two days without stopping, we need a day of relaxation and rest. This is what we are going to do to put a finishing touch to this tour of Valencia in three days. To enjoy the sun and good weather, nothing like Malvarrosa beach.

And  we cannot leave Valencia without eating a paella, so we will reserve at the restaurants located on the seafront. Eat on a terrace by the sea, enjoying the sun. Can you think of a better plan?

The Royal Marina is located at the end of the Malvarrosa beach. We can take a pleasant walk between large boats and luxurious yachts located there. The restaurants in this port are a good option to enjoy the gastronomy of the area and contemplate the beauty of the beach and the sea.

We take a walk through Joaquín Sorolla's Valencia
