120 kilometers from the country’s capital, Santiago de Chile (and connected by a modern highway) we can find the most elegant of the South Pacific beaches. Its stately origins can be seen in every corner.

The entertainment offer is very wide because we can not only enjoy the beaches, but also at night thanks to the casino, the discos and the restaurants. Nothing better to eat fish and shellfish than the Reñaca and Concon area.

This archipelago is located on the coasts of the Caribbean Sea  and is 168 kilometers from Caracas. To get there we can choose by sea (to the port of La Guaira) or by air (it is the only one of the 50 islands in the area with an airport).

It is a really beautiful and natural place. It was declared a National Park in 1972 and when you arrive you will realize why. It is very similar to our idea of paradise! Don’t miss Cayo de Agua, the most beautiful of the beaches on these islands.

North of Lima, the capital, you will have warm waters and pleasant temperatures at your disposal to spend an unforgettable vacation. Located in the city of Trujillo, this beach is known because according to history, the ceviche, the typical food of the local gastronomy, was invented here. You can walk around the exact point where this dish, called Caballitos de Totora, emerged … and of course taste it.

In the surroundings is located the largest adobe city in the world, Chan Chan. Do not miss the colonial center and the Huacas del Sol y de la Luna.

5. Salinas (Ecuador)

If you arrive at this beach from the south you will have traveled the so-called “Ruta del Spondylus” in honor of a common shell in the region. Salinas is the most popular on the entire coast and is quite similar to Acapulco, in Mexico (with the difference that the buildings are lower here).

It is located 150 kilometers from Guayaquil, on the Santa Elena peninsula. Sand as white as you can imagine and turquoise waters complete this Caribbean postcard of the Pacific Ocean.

It is one of the best-known spas in this country and is located in the department of Rocha, 230 kilometers from the capital, Montevideo. The name “La Pedrera” derives from the rock formations located in front of the sea, which are millions of years old.

Tourists who come here can not only enjoy its beautiful beaches but also bird watching and water sports. Playa del Barco, for example, is ideal for surfing.

7. Villa Gesell (Argentina)

Although it is not the largest on the Argentine Atlantic coast, Villa Gesell is ideal for those who want to lie in the sun during the day and party at night. Also for those looking to go shopping, go to the theater, ride an ATV through the dunes or go fishing on a boat.

As if all this were not enough, in Villa Gesell we can find a coniferous forest where we can rest from so much bustle in front of the sea. The best beach to go to is Popeye, with a good infrastructure and an interesting family atmosphere.

If you are thinking of traveling to South America and you like to go to the beach, choose any of these options … you will not be disappointed!
