When summer comes, we may love the atmosphere, but sometimes the heat is unbearable. Therefore, although for many the most helpful are beach destinations, there are other possibilities. We are going to review some perfect places to escape the summer heat. Take note!

Places to escape the summer heat in Spain

Galicia

If, in addition to fleeing the heat, you want to enjoy nature, Galicia is a great destination. This community has a reputation for being cool, for having showers that soak up the atmosphere, but it also boasts of having lush meadows and forests to get lost in and spend a different vacation.

But Galicia also has beaches, such as those of Mariña Lucense, among which Las Catedrales stands out, which is named for the similarity of its rocky arches to those of a cathedral. Enjoying the beaches with a less oppressive climate is also possible in Galicia.

And what can we say about Switzerland? It is a country that has it all, and especially, an exceptional climate in summer. In it you can choose if you want to be in a city or in the middle of nature, go hiking or urban tourism … You choose!

What is certain is that in the Alpine country you can escape the summer heat and enjoy a different but unique country and culture.

Iceland

The land of ice, that’s what they call it. But in summer, the ice leaves, yes, it leaves traces of a slight cool breeze that will allow you to know the country to the fullest. Iceland is incredible, with a singular and sometimes overwhelming beauty.

When you are there,  do not forget to walk through its volcanoes, visit its most famous geysers and enjoy its incredible waterfalls. Here you must forget about urban tourism, Iceland has so many natural beauties that it is difficult to choose when you have only a few days to visit the country.

Greenland

If Iceland is known for the land of ice, Greenland is known as the island of ice. This place is the perfect place to escape the summer heat, without a doubt. And if it is a little cold, calm down, because you can immerse yourself in its natural pools of hot water.
